The perfect sundowner cocktail: Amarula Cream Melon Colada
As the sun sets at the end of a beautiful day, nothing completes that summer feeling quite like a cocktail. If you’re wondering what beverage to serve the crew who are coming over for a post-beach swim and wind-down, the Amarula Cream Melon Colada is the perfect choice. You can prepare everything before to ensure that it’s all nice and chilled by the time happy hour is ready to kick off. It’s a sweet delight that no one will be able to refuse.
- 30ml Amarula Cream
- 60ml green-melon syrup
- 30ml white rum
- Slivers of green melon
- Ice cubes
Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker or blender and mix thoroughly. Decant into Martini glasses and garnish with some melon for a really finished look.
750ml water, 250g sugar and half a green melon that has been peeled, de-seeded and cut into chunks.
Boil all the ingredients together for about 20 minutes, after which you must remove the melon pieces. The liquid you’re left with is your syrup.
